“It was octarine, the colour of magic. It was alive and glowing and vibrant and it was the undisputed pigment of the imagination, because wherever it appeared it was a sign that mere matter was a servant of the powers of the magical mind. It was enchantment itself.”
—Terry Pratchett
The Octarine Accord is a production company that believes prioritizing our people means we create greatness with every project.
Our mission is to transform the nature of the relationship between theatre artists and our audience through a laser focus on speculative fiction storytelling, reckless kindness, and careful attention to healthy artistic practices.
We value each individual’s dignity and lived experience and work to be accomplices in the continual fight for justice and equity.
What is speculative fiction?
“Speculative fiction includes fantasy, science fiction, and horror, but also their derivatives, hybrids, and cognate genres like the gothic, dystopia, weird fiction, post-apocalyptic fiction, ghost stories, superhero tales, alternate history, steampunk, slipstream, magic realism, fractured fairy tales, and more.” (source)
